All of my pieces begin with high-quality, solid wood. The bowls are made of beech wood and are hand turned, while the other items are hand built of solid wood. I use these as my blank canvases for the creation of my functional objects of art.
Each piece is sanded and primed prior to painting a base-coat of color that will be the start of my design and decoupage (the art of paper cutting & gluing). I decide on the subject or theme for the piece and start the painstaking search for the perfect paper elements to use on the painting. Texture, placement, and design are very important to the finished piece. Love for my work is a very important ingredient, and when a tear comes to my eyes I know the piece is complete and ready to be signed. Each piece is finished with a minimum of three coats of non-toxic, polyurethane clear coat, with delicate sanding between each coat.
Although I will use the same subject matter and images for recurring themes, each art piece is hand painted and decoupaged for total uniqueness. NO TWO PIECES WILL EVER BE IDENTICAL, and each piece of functional art is a signed piece of uniqueness.

Depending on the availability of materials, items are usually shipped in 2-4 weeks from receipt of order.
Product is shipped via standard UPS, unless other arrangements are requested by purchaser. Items are packaged and shipped by UPS ground, with the accompanying shipping & handling charges added to the posted prices for each item.
